MBA Students to Solve the PTO’s Backlog Problem?

Earlier this week, the USPTO announced that it would be partnering with the George Washington University School of Business in a competition to find solutions to “the pressing issues of patent pendency and backlog at the USPTO.”
According to the press release, Margaret Peterlin, Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director of the USPTO, said “When GW expressed their interest in examining the USPTO’s pendency and backlog challenges as the case study in this competition, we saw it as a rare and exciting opportunity to garner new, fresh perspectives on how to address these important issues.”
I have some “new and fresh” ideas (to them anyway) about how they can deal with the disputed Final Rules (which also claim to address the backlog)– think they’ll take my call?
